House washing and pressure cleaning in Graceville
Graceville is old houses and big gardens, and the gardens are what most cleaners get wrong. Posh Wash soft washes heritage homes from $450, cleans roofs from $600 and covers and rinses the planting before a drop of chemical goes anywhere. Larger properties are looked at in person for free: book online or call Luke on 0490 791 059.

What we see on these streets
Century-old houses under a canopy
Around Graceville and Chelmer we routinely work on houses a hundred years old: high-set timber Queenslanders, original VJ and weatherboard, and paint that often predates 1970, which means it is very likely lead-based. That changes how we work: containment and controlled rinsing, not high pressure into the garden bed.
The tree canopy is the other defining feature. It makes the suburb lovely and it is why roofs here need doing more often than on flat, treeless streets further south. Constant leaf drop fills gutters faster, the shaded half of the roof stays damp longer, and lichen gets a grip years earlier than in full sun.
Mature planting sits right against the walls on most blocks. We wet it down and cover it before we start and rinse thoroughly afterwards, because a house wash that costs you an established garden is no saving. If a shrub is genuinely in the way and cannot be protected, we say so before we start.
How we work on an old house
Six things we do differently here
Plants first
Everything against the walls is soaked and covered before any chemical is mixed, and rinsed again at the end.
Soft wash, not pressure
Painted weatherboard gets low pressure and the right chemical. High pressure strips paint and drives water into the boards.
Lead paint care
On pre-1970s homes we contain and control the rinse rather than blasting old paint into the soil.
Timber windows respected
Old casements leak. We work around the ones in poor condition rather than pretending they are sealed.
Height taken seriously
High-set Queenslanders put the gutter line a long way up. Proper access and harnesses, not a ladder and hope.
Quoted after looking
On the bigger places we would rather come and look than guess over the phone and surprise you later.
Same pocket of Brisbane
Queenslander timber and thirty years of lichen
Old paint soft washed, and a nearby Corinda roof under the same heavy tree cover.

What Graceville calls us for
All services are free to quote, with no obligation. See every starting price.
Will the chemical kill my garden?
Not if it is done properly. Plants are soaked before we start, because wet foliage absorbs far less, covered where it matters, and rinsed again at the end. The risk comes from cleaners who skip that step.
The house is a hundred years old. Is pressure cleaning safe on it?
Pressure cleaning is not, which is why we do not use it on these houses. A soft wash at low pressure is the correct method for painted timber, and the only one we will quote on an old Queenslander.
Can you reach the second storey and the gutters?
Yes. High-set homes are normal here. Where the roof or gutter line cannot be reached safely from a ladder we use proper height access and harnesses, factored into the quote.
Why can't you quote my place over the phone?
On the larger Graceville and Chelmer properties we honestly cannot see enough from a photo to be sure. We would rather come and look than give you a number we have to revise. The visit is free.
